Below is a good example of how Attic Trusses can be used to create the third storey. Use of The Attic-Space was not an after thought, it was a deliberate and integral part of the house design. The creation   the  additional 3 bedrooms in the Attic space maximises the full  potential (and value) of this house.

 There are no steel purlins in this roof and very little loose infill timber.  This roof was very fast to erect, felt and leave ready for the tilers.

Below are batches of completed Attic Trusses in our factory. We batch them into groups of 8, so that they can be unloaded quickly on site using our own lorry mounted cranes, a site crane or a telescopic forktruck. This batch of Attic Trusses creates a room width of 4.9m (16ft).

All but the smallest Attic Trusses that we design and manufacture have large section, timber sizes throughout, normally 8" or 9" x 2" (ex.225mm x 47mm) Rafters and Ceiling Joist made from high quality, Scandinavian C24 & TR26 Strength Graded Whitewood.
